The one to settle it all.....

In Pokemon, I have noticed when a fight breaks out between two legendaries, there is always another legendary the stops the fighting, or at least tries to. The reason may be to protect someone they love(or respect), or because it's the right thing to do.

Examples in the Anime

The two legendaries that come to mind are Lugia, and the star of our latest movie, Darkrai. Here are the two scenarios in which they tried to stop the fighting:
Darkrai- Dialga and Palkia were fighting, for some unknown reason. They were going in-and-out of different demisions, and ended it near Alamos Town, where Darkrai lived. Darkrai tried to make them stop fighting eachother, or he tried to make them get away from Alamos Town. Alamos Town was also where the girl that he owes his life to lives. These are the reasons why I think Darkrai butted in.

Lugia- He made his debut, in Pokemon: The Movie 2000. Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres were fighting, they had the power to possibly destroy the world. Lugia stepped in becuase the fate of the world depended on it; it was the right thing to do. This is why I think lugia butted in.

In the videogames

The only example in which I can think of is was in Emerald version. Groudon and Kyogre were fighting, causing the weather to change. The rate in which it changed caused everything to become unstable. Out of nowhere(well somewhere...) comes Rayquaza, who stops the fighting. I believe Rayquaza did that beacuase it was his job.
